Overview
Since I was a child I have felt a great fascination for monsters, due to their mythology. Being Mexican, I grew up enjoying Mexican B movies, full of monstrous creatures and dreamlike characters.
Since I was a child I have felt a great fascination for monsters, due to their mythology. Being Mexican, I grew up enjoying Mexican B movies, full of monstrous creatures and dreamlike characters.
Cartoons also accompanied my childhood, from Looney Tunes to Japanese anime, the magic of the absurd. Michael Jackson's music and in particular his song Thriller marked my childhood.
In this personal project I developed 31 monsters, each one for each day of the month of terror, October. I brought to the table all those stories that amazed me as a child, monsters included.
I think that we artists should give ourselves things from time to time, self-gifts that bring us back to those wonderful years of childhood. Chairoween is one of those projects :)
